Mazda recalls 150K vehicles: If you have one of these vehicles, bring it to your dealer ASAP

Mazda is recalling more than 150,000 vehicles due to multiple defects found in recent models.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Mazda recalled 80,915 2024-2025 CX-90 and 2025 CX-70 vehicles due to “the defroster, seat belt warning, 360 degree view monitor functions and the PHEV high-voltage battery cooling system” not functioning properly.
The Dash Electrical Supply Unit controls all these things, and if it doesn’t function properly, it can increase the risk of a crash, according to the NHTSA.
Owners can take their affected vehicles to their local dealers, where they will reprogram the Dash Electrical Supply Unit at no cost.
Mazda is also recalling 38,926 of its 2024 CX-90 vehicles.
According to the NHTSA, “the engine may not restart after the idling stop feature (i-stop) turns off the engine due to a software issue.”
The report warned that if an engine fails to restart, it can increase the risk of a crash.
Owners can take their affected vehicles to their local dealers, where they will reprogram the powertrain control module and the battery energy control module software at no cost.
Owners will be notified about both recalls by mail no later than Dec. 30, 2024.
